Construction Trades - Carpentry

The Construction Trades - Carpentry pathway is a 2 year pathway and these courses are hosted in three school corporations.   Actual building sites will change each year. Potential careers after completing this pathway include carpenter, electrician, plumber, painter, roofer, dry waller, landscaper,  construction management, commercial construction and much more. 

North Central CTE Cooperative partners with Culver, John Glenn and Plymouth schools to offer this opportunity for students in our cooperative. 

Culver Building Trades hosts students from Culver, Knox and North Judson. 

John Glenn Building Trades hosts students from John Glenn, Oregon-Davis and Union-North. 

Plymouth Building Trades hosts students from Argos, Plymouth and Triton. 

Construction Trades Courses

Construction Trades prepares students for a variety of careers pathways in learning the skills to continue in the construction trades field. Students will learn terminology, basic safety, use of hand and power tools, laying out and constructing floors, walls and ceiling joists and roof framing of a residential home. Students will also learn about exterior finishing, drywall installation, window, door, floor trim and cabinet installation. 

Completion of the 2nd year of this program may allow a student to earn the Carpentry Level 1 Apprentice Certification through the IKORCC.
